The Union Agricultural minister Mr. Radhamohan Singh said that farmer’s well being is essential for the prosperity of the country. Laying the foundation stone for the horticultural university at Mulugu in Medak district, he said that Narendra Modi put special focus on agriculture after becoming the Prime minister. Hence the slogan is the maximum agricultural output with minimum water, he said. He said that the government introduced soil test cards for the benefit of the farmers. He hoped that e-marketing will do good for the farmers. He said that his government would strive to evolve uniform market practice for the entire country. The farmers were put to hardship for the past ten years. He likened Konda Lakshman Bapuji with Gandhiji and said he was very happy to note that the horticultural university was being named after Konda.
The chief minister KCR laid foundation stone for the construction of Centre for Excellence and college of forestry. He said that the people of Gajvel were happy to have three institutes in a sprawling land of 1300 acres. He said that the programme a tap for each house would be inaugurated on April 30.
