The applicants, submitted applications for regularisation if they are lying vacant too, conflict to TS government’s policy of regularisation, only if buildings exist on such lands. In Hyderabad and RR districts nearly 780 acres of costly are lying vacant which now can be regularised by paying nominal amount.
The government recently announced orders for regularisation of various govt lands, and about thousands of applications are already pending with the govt since 2008. The YSR govt had released GO 166 for regularisation of lands in 2008. In response, 1.44 lakh applications were received, of which 1.24 lakh were rejected. While 14,000 applications were regularised, and 6,000 were kept pending.
The TS govt has resolved to regularise pending applications based on older norms that were imposed under GO 166. The fresh orders to this effect will be issued in a day or two.
About 1,641 acres of govt lands are fastened in legal disputes in Hyd and RR dist. Of them, buildings came up in 864 while the rest 777 acres are lying vacant. Regularisation of lands for 777 acres acres as per old norms by paying a nominal amount.
