A fight broke out between members of Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Tuesday over office space, and in no time turned ugly. TDP MPs refused to vacate an office, which was allotted to TMC.
The whole drama occurred to occupy the room no. 5 of Parliament, as the two parties were seen squabbling to occupy the prime space of the circurlar building.
TMC MPs got into an argument in Parliament and they reportedly removed name plates of TDP leaders from room no 5 and occupied the space. They also put up their name plates and did not vacate it.
Meanwhile, TDP has accused Mamata Banerjee-led TMC members of rowdy behaviour and lodged a complaint with parliamentary affairs minister Venkaiah Naidu.
The Lok Sabha Speaker has had to step in to defuse the room crisis.
The new offices were allotted by the Speaker to the present biggies like AIADMK, TMC and Biju Janata Dal, on the ground floor.
