Oscar award winning director David Fincher, his previous writer Aaron Sorkin are reuniting for the Sony produced biopic on the charismatic, controversial tech genius Steve Jobs. The director reportedly is insisting on having Christian Bale for the title role, as per Hollywood information. Fincher had been nominated for Best Direction Oscar twice. Bale had won the supporting actor Oscar for The Fighter in 2011.
Fincher has already made a much acclaimed film on facebook’s Zuckerberg’s life – The Social Network. Christian Bale is known to goo deep into his characters, even going to the extremes of shedding weight and putting on for roles repeatedly. The combination of the director, writer and actor to present the mercurial life of Apple’s Steve Jobs will be looked after by fans and critics alike.
Ashton Kutcher has recently played Jobs character in a film which did not attract much attention. Fincher’s new film Gone Girl, starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike will release later this year.
