FIR must in PS: Govt

first-information-reportCentral Government has ordered all State Governments to register FIR (
first information report ) without fail once a victim lodges a complaint through phone or in writing whether it is a small or big case as the victim has every right to claim justice. Strict action
will be taken against the officer concerned in case the police officer rejects the petition of the complainant, the Centre issued a warning.
The Centre was of the opinion that ignoring FIR will leave more scope for occurring crimes. The police inspectors neglect registering the
FIR stating that the case does not come under the limits of their police station. Now such tactics will not be tolerated and any delay in registering the FIR will be viewed seriously and action will be initiated against the officer concerned. Selfish police inspectors are
in the habit of not filing an FIR as they want the settlements in the police station itself with an ulterior motive. Once the FIR is registered the case must be pursued officially while booking the culprit which the inspectors do not want. Now the Centre is serious
about the FIR registrations strictly so that crime will be controlled.
