First private space flight to happen in September: Branson

Sir Richard Branson has been on a run from 2004 to enter space as a first private space tourist flight operator. His Virgin Galactic has been experimenting with various technicalities involved with more dreamers like Engineer Burt Rutan, Microsoft co founder Paul Allen participating in creation or funding for the project realization. The initial target is to take tourists to a suborbital flight at above 100 kilometers height (62 miles) exactly) and return safely back. Scheduled to happen after September this year, Branson assures that he will not fail in his mission. Branson’s Space Ship 2 will have over 700 passengers, paying around 1,55,ooo $ each, for a two hour flight in which about 5 minutes of weightlessness will be experienced. Three test flights of SS2 have happened, so far reaching a height of 13 miles, so they are yet to go a long way to finally scale the 62 mile suborbital target. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are announced to have listed for the flight, along with Branson and his family.

Here is a recent video of the flight…
