Arup Roy Choudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of National Thermal Power Corporation on Friday said that the firm is executing a 4,000 MW thermal plant in the newly created state Telangana. He said that the plant will be constructed under Telangana act.
“We are awaiting coal mine reallocation for setting up two 800 MW units at our Ramagundam plant. The other three units will come adjacent to this plant”, said Arup Roy Choudhary.
Speaking in New Delhi, NTPC chief also cleared the air on Dabhol Power Plant. “Dabhol will be revived. How can we afford in a country like ours to leave one project to get killed by it. Many options are being considered and it has to be revived”, said Mr. Choudhary.
