Ts-DgpThe Director General of Police of Telangana state Anurag Sharma warned against forced conversions and taking of law into their hands.

He said this during the annual press conference. But he decided to say that till now no cases of forced conversions were reported.

According to the VHP, which has been spear heading the re-conversion programme, during the last six months 8000 people from both the states were entered into hindu fold. Hyderabad alone witnessed reconversion of 1200 people.

To protest against the controversial programme Christian organisations have decided to hold a state level protest in a few days. They have decided to meet the CMs of both the states and appraise them about the situation. “Such forced reconversions are to be condemned. We are planning to meet Chief Ministers of both the states in a couple of days,” said Gaddapati Vijay Raju, national president for All India Christian Federation.
