Model houses in IDH colony completes by June 2, Govt says

ts-logoThe GHMC has begun G plus 2 construction as a pilot project in the slum area of IDH colony as part of a double bed room scheme to provide housing to poor. A plan has been designed to build hall, kitchen, attached bathroom along with double bedroom scheme. The target is to complete the housing by June 2, the TS formation day. Following orders from the chief minister, district collectors visited the IDH colony so that they could ensure the same pattern to follow in all the districts. The government has decided to implement the scheme in all districts. The cm also toured in the IDH colony recently. Collectors said that acquiring land was not a problem and said flats in four packages was great. It is also possible to build independent houses for the same price they said. They are evolving plans for G plus 1 and G plus 2 construction in urban and semi-urban, as per cm’s suggestions. The focus is on implementation of double bed room scheme. Efforts are on to increase awareness of the collectors on the said scheme.
