German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in an attempt to strengthen the ties between the two nations, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj Monday.
Syed Akbaruddin, Spokesperson Ministry of External Affairs informed the media that trade, investment, high tech cooperation and renewable energy collaboration were the main points on agenda.
The German Foreign Mnister was accompanied by a high-level business delegation. His further schedule in India is a series of meetings with Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani, Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Steinmeier is on Indian tour since Saturday.
