Hyderabad: Government of Telangana had earlier decided to advance the SSC classes I to IX final exams by a fortnight to April 1, from the scheduled date of April 15. The government had wanted to complete the exams early, so that students could prepare for the first state formation Day on June 2.
“We are not ready to hold final exams a fortnight early. We have had more holidays this academic year and have lost time. We had approached Ms Kavita and she has asked the government not to advance the exams,” S. Srinivasa Reddy, president, Telangana Private Schools Managements.
Association, said. Sources added that the government has already decided to roll back the decision, though a formal order is awaited.
