Hyderabad: Even as the Opposition tried to put the government in a fix for not allocating adequate funds to various sectors in the budget, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday forcibly supported the budgetary allocations. He said “the allocations are apt and made to do justice to all sections of people.” The Chief Minister stated that the government had come up with a suitable Budget for 2015-16 that was pegged at Rs 1,15,689 crore
KCR said, “We are aware of the budgetary ramifications and do justice to all sections”. Earlier, the House witnessed pandemonium as the members of the Congress rapped the treasury benches for going back on its promise of reimbursing the fees. There was also chaos when the members demanded an explanation on unabated suicides by farmers in the State.
The Opposition member exerted pressure on the government on the key issues and shouted slogans and sought to dispel qualms on SC, ST Sub-Plan allocations and welfare of the poor and farmers. The Opposition members also tried their best to corner the government saying that the allocations made in the budget were not convincing as agriculture sector needed more funds. They also took exception to the government for not focusing on allocations to agriculture sector, education, health, irrigation and industries.
