Govt assures farmers

maxresdefault-300x168Deputy CM Kadiam Srihar asked farmers not to commit suicides and
assured that government will stand by them as it had already taken
several measures to support them. After a review of farmers’ problems,
the minister announced to media persons the following steps taken.
•       Under Kalyana Laxmi scheme farmer’s daughter will be supported.
•       Increased compensation will be effective from today
•       So far Rs 8,500 paid to banks for loan-waiver.
•        No scarcity of seeds, fertilisers and no power-cuts
•        From April 1, 2016 9-hour day time power supply
•        Drought-hit mandals will be announced after September 30
•       Agriculture Extension posts will be filled up
•        1000 more AEOs posts will be sanctioned
•        Agriculture officer for every 5,000 acres
•        Forest college will be set up in Mulug in Medak district
