Govt inactive, session must: Cong

unnamed Congress leaders have demanded government to call Assembly session to discuss various issues related to farmers, if not they warned that they would move the praja court. In the absence of alternative plans on drought situation, private agencies resorting to corruption in input subsidies, farmers were forced to suffer heavy losses, they said. Plea for an all-party meeting to discuss the sparse monsoon was turned down and farmers reeling under its impact also did not evoke response from the government. It is in deep sleep, they pointed out. Instead, allocating time for rhizome crop in farm house is surprising, they said and demanded a session to corner the government on people’s problems.
