On Thursday, Tummala Nageswara Rao Minister of Roads and Buildings said that people’s cooperation is needed for effective implementation of welfare schemes. He introduced distribution of rice for those who are holding food security cards at cotton market yard in Enkoor mandal headquarters.
Tummala Nageswara Rao said that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has introduced food security cards to ensure sufficient rice is distributed to every eligible poor person in the state. He said that the government would work in the New Year as per the wishes and aspirations of people. He added “Chief Minister is making efforts to ensure Telangana state occupies number one position in development in the next four-and-a-half-years.”
He assured Khammam district should be number one position among all districts in the state. He added “Previous governments never made an attempt to win people’s faith.”
Tummala stated that people in the district are conveying happiness that he was given Minister post. He added “I will take up welfare and developmental works in the district for fulfilling the trust reposed by people on me.”
ZP chairperson G Kavitha, District Collector Dr K Ilambarithi, Joint Collector K Surendra Mohan, MLC Balasani Lakshminarayana, Wyra MLA B Madan Lal, DCCB chairman M Vijaya Babu and other officials were present.
