The Ayutha Chandi Yaga which was conducted by the chief minister KCR at his farm house in Erravalli for five days ended on Sunday on a grand scale. The Governor Narasimhan and his lady Mrs. Narasimhan and the AP chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu attended today’s yaga. The noted Telugu poet and pundit Madugula Nagaphani Sarma also attended. The only discordant note in the yaga was a minor fire accident during the intermission of the rites. A small piece of fire particle from the homagunda rose up and touched the thatched roof, setting it afire. Three fire tenders rushed to the spot and immediately put out the fire.
The chief minister thanked one and all for the successful completion of the yaga. He said he performed the yaga for the good of the people of Telangana and welfare of the country in general. He announced that he would again perform Prayutha Chandi Yaga if he could meet his set goals by God’s grace.
