Harish Rao demands early clearance of projects

Harishrao Image 2The State Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao demanded early clearance of irrigation projects. Speaking at the national conference of Jal Manthan organised by the Union Water Resources Ministry in Delhi, he said that 18 kinds of permissions are needed to get an irrigation project which take five to ten years. He posed the question as to how to construct an irrigation project in ten years since the duration of an elected government is only five years. He said that his state government provides all permissions to set up an industry within 15 days. He demanded  60 percent of Central funds for the irrigation projects in the state. He also requested for national status for Kaleswaram project. The Union Minister Umabharati intervened immediately and instructed the officials concerned, to give speedy clearance to the projects.
