Heavy rains triggered water level, Flood alert in Andhra Pradesh

Heavy-rains-triggered-waterHeavy rains has triggered rising water levels caused floods in Andhra Pradesh leaving nearly 300 people stranded. On Sunday State Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed Ministers and officials to take up prompt rescue and relief measures wherever necessary. Srikakulam district is badly hit by flood. The District Magistrate of Srikakulam district Gaurav Uppal visited some of the flood-affected areas along with his team to monitor the situation. To understand the state of affairs he spoke to the affected residents. Uppal said incessant rainfall in neighboring Odisha on Saturday caused water levels to rise in the Vamsadhara River. He also said that all the concerned authorities are working together to deal with the crisis.
