The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday expressed anger over junior doctors who have been striking from their duties for about a month now. It asked the Junior Doctors’ Association to sum up its strike and get back to work again.
The High Court ruled that the industrial and labor acts are not applicable to the junior doctors. The court also stated that the doctors are not daily-wage labours ; they do not have the right to escape from the work.
The junior doctors have been protesting and are on strike to remove the mandatory services in the rural areas to get the certificate. They had put several other demands too, which were accepted by the state government.
