High Court Refuses To Provide Relief

High-Court-Refuses-To-Provide-ReliefThe Hyderabad High Court asked the petitioner T Dhanagopal Rao to approach the city police commissioner and present his grievances.

Refusing to order a stay on the cordon and security operations by the city police, in Cyberabad and Hyderabad, the bench of High Court asked to represent the case to the police department.

The judge asked the petitioner if he had faced any such difficulty due to the restrictions the petitioner replied positively. On this the bench said that the petitioner should have approached the police commissioner instead of the court.

The petitioner tried to give example of the stay given by the High Court in the case of “Operation Night Domination”. The operation was launched by the Vijayawada police to carry out search operations. The bench dismissed his plea saying that the two cases were not similar and could not be considered as base for ordering stay on the operations.

The petitioner had contended that the action of the police is against Articles 14, 15, 19(1)(d)(e)(g), 21 and 22 of the Constitution.
