Scientists from the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development said that they received signals in their experiments that snow levels would decrease based on the rise in temperatures. They also revealed that by 2100, 70 to 99 percent glaciers would vanish. It was found in their investigations that the biggest glacier in Dud Basin has been gradually melting down.  There is a possibility of increase in the levels of the river Kosi and the flow would also rise due to snow melting down in its wake.
