HISTORY: Caste plays key role?

Mana chertraAryans are believed to have come from Central Asia about 5,000 years ago. Their arrival in India triggered caste origin but the source of caste category was found way back in Rugveda and Yajurveda later specified caste classification – Brahmins, Kshathriyas, Vyshyas and Sudras. Prior to Aryans’ arrivals, the earlier migrants were considered more civilized than the Arayans who were branded as intruders which led to frequent battles between both the races. On the whole in the Indian history thousands of castes exist and caste played a key role for thousands of years, not to speak of caste disparities in modern India.
