Hudhud Devastated City Consumes Liquor Worth 15 Crore on New Year

vizagThe city of Vizag, which was torn apart by the deadly cyclone Hudhud, showed no sign of devastation and destruction when it came to the matter of new year celebration.

The city registered a record sale of liquor worth 15 crore rupees, only on new year eve. This amount is 5 crore higher than the previous year’s expenditure.

The government was able to earn considerable revenue on a single day due to the brisk sale of liquor. The rush was so high that some shops went out of stock, no sooner than they were opened.

Same was the case with the other districts of AP, with Kurnool recording the sale of liquor worth 2 crore on New Year eve.
