I will contest 2019 polls: Pawan

i-will-contest-2019-pollsUnveiling his political ambitions, Tollywood hero and President of Jana Sena party Pawan Kalyan has announced that he would contest the 2019 Assembly polls. “I will contest.. I don’t know whether you would support me but I will certainly stand by you in your struggle for a just society and equal opportunities” he told a well-attended gathering in Anathapur today. He announced that he would start his first party office in Ananthapur itself.
Pawan Kalyan, who has been waging a war to achieve special category status (SCS) for the state, questioned the TDP and BJP of ‘legal sanctity’ to the economic package that was announced by the Centre in exchange of the promised SCS. “Mr Venkaiah Naidu has been drumming support for the SCS. He has been forcefully campaigning that Special package is far better than SCS. Where is the guarantee that it would be given? Will it not go the SCS way? SCS which was promised on the floor of the Parliament has no constitutional sanctity. It was simply thrown into dustbin. Now, the Special Package is being brought to the fore. Can Mr Naidu or for that matter Mr Chandrababu Naidu ensure it would be implemented?” Pawan has asked. He termed the Special Package as a piece of paper which is worthless. Felicitations are being done to our leaders who accepted to this package which has absolutely no value.. It is ridiculous so much of praise is heaped on those leaders who okayed for this, he remarked.
“Mr Arun Jaitley says that AP will be given Rs 2.30 crore through various means. Mr Venkaiah adds Rs 23,000 crore more. I spoke to the experts. As per the 14th FFC recommendations, AP will any way get Rs 1.75 crore . what else these people sanction us? Nothing.. It’s all bull shit” he lambasted.
He said the Centre would give just Rs 8,000 crore for the Polavaram project. I wonder how this would become a national project, he stated.
Warning that people will teach a lesson to the leaders who gave tall promises and forgot them later, Mr Pawan said-“remember your roots are at the feet of people. They will uproot you for your backstabbing”
Pawan Kalyan said he sought an appointment with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ask about the Special Status.
Mr Pawan assured that he would stand by Anantapur which has been in the grip of severe drought for years.
Taking a diatribe against the TDP regime, Mr Pawan Kalyan said political corruption is rampant in the state. The Chief Minister shall take steps to check the graft, he urged.
During the course of his speech, Mr Pawan said he has lost in interest in acting films. “I find more satisfaction in fighting for a cause, fighting for people’s problems. I will do it. I have no caste or creed. I will fight for every one, for the overall development of the state” he said.
Mr Pawan Kalyan, who appeared bespectacled, spoke with a sense of authority this time on issues , unlike his earlier public meet at Kakinada.
