IAS Allocation issue heats up as 3 officials Moved to Tribunal

ap-tgThe Central Administrative Tribunal’s Hyderabad Bench has extended status quo for three weeks on allocation of IAS officials in two Telugu states. Somesh Kumar, the Commissioner of GHMC filed petition in the tribunal to declare his allocation in AP cadre as void, and let him continue his services in Telangana.

Three more IAS officials moved to the tribunal against their allocation. G Anantha Ramu, transport commissioner of AP, S.S. Rawat secretary to AP social welfare department was allocated in Andhra Pradesh cadre while they want to continue in Telangana. Similarly, C. Harikiran, commissioner of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation moved to the tribunal against his allocation to Telangana while he wants to move to Andhra Pradesh.

The Centre has been notified to file counter affidavits till Nov-20 in Anantha Ramu and Rawat issue while Nov-28 in Harikiran’s issue.
