Giving a major blow to ‘Management Guru’ Arindham Chaudhary, the Delhi High Court has ordered the Indian Institutes of Planning and Management (IIPM) to not to use the titles like MBA, BBA or Business School. The court further added that the IIPM has to clearly mention in its advertisements and on website that the institution is not recognized by any statutory body or authority.
A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice G. Rohini and Justice R. S. Endlaw delivered the judgment on a public interest writ petition which has accused of deceptively using the titles like MBA or BBA.
The writ petition was moved by B. Mahesh Sharma, the UGC and the All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It said that IIPM has no authority to award any degree.
