K. Chandrasekhar Rao the Telangana Chief Minister will hold a forum later to approach with some academics and experts, this scheme can be implemented earliest in the 2016-17 academic year.
About implementation of the scheme G. Jagdish Reddy who is Education minister met Mr Rao too. A final decision on Eamcet will be taken in two to three days he added.
In a release, Educational Minister said opinion and suggestions regarding Eamcet will be sought from all collaborators in the state and on January 27 a decision on the modalities of implementation of the KG to PG free education scheme will be taken in the forum he added. Boosting the culture of Telangana through curriculum will also be a part of the scheme.
A senior official said “There are six to seven types of schools in each district like model schools, open schools, residential schools etc. We have to discuss in details how to materialise the scheme in these schools. So far it is in a very nascent stage”.
