AAP party chief Arvind Khejriwal abruptly resigned from the CM’s post in February. Since then AAP and Congress are demanding fresh elections, and BJP is trying to avoid, even though it has the maximum seats in the capital. AAP and Congress have been accusing the BJP of playing dirty tricks to make the numbers and approach the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung to form the Government in New Delhi.
BJP says technically it will have their numbers in place after the by-poll to be held on November 25, and the support of ally Akali Dal. This entire defensive approach seems to be taking a quick U turn in the BJP camp. The Impressive show in Haryana, and Maharashtra has injected a new confidence in the Party. The Modi Wave seems to be working equally strong. The party also feels the Congress has lost its complete credibility and the people are confused about the AAP party. Considering all these factors the BJP seems to make up is mood to go for an election in New Delhi.
