India, Australia MoU for $ 1 m AUD

unnamed (1)India and Australia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in education, training and research. HRD Minister Smriti Irani and Minister for Education and Training Christopher Pyne MP, Australia signed the MoU in New Delhi to intensify partnerships in higher education & research including technical and professional education, schools, vocational education and training. They agreed for a joint financial commitment of $ 1 million AUD. Christopher also announced Adam Gilchrist as the Australia-India Education Ambassador who will help project the quality of Australian education and strengthen bilateral education, training and research relationships. It highlights the development of the credit transfer database, hosted on the Australia India education links website (www.australiaindiaeducation.com ), as a practical way to encourage student mobility between Indian and Australian universities.
