India, Germany MoU on education

unnamed (1)HRD Minister Smriti Irani and German Minister of Education and Research Johanna Wanka  exchanged views in New Delhi on collaboration
in science and technology, skills development, the Global Initiative for Academic Networks. Later, India and Germany signed two joint declarations of Intent and an MoU for enhancing cooperation in education. JDI seeks to implement “lndo-German Partnerships in Higher Education” from 2016-2020 to support cooperation between higher
education institutions in both countries. UGC and German Academic Exchange Service also signed a MoU for cooperation in higher
education. Each side will contribute 3.5 million Euros and IGP will fund projects. Students in Kendriya Vidaylaya could opt for German language through collaboration between the Max Mueller Bhavan and the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
