India stays away from a vote on neighbor Lanka at UNHRC

The United Nations Human Rights Council voted today on a US proposed resolution to send an international probe team to investigate Sri Lanka’s alleged human rights violations. The Indian government has abstained from the vote. “Adopting an intrusive approach is counter-productive,” felt India, as per sources.
