India Successfully Launched Navigation Satellite on Board

pslvThe first satellite, IRNSS-1A, was launched on board PSLV-C22 on 1 July 2013

The second navigation satellite (IRNSS-1B) was successfully placed in the orbit through PSLV-C24 rocket on 4 April 2014.

“India’s third navigation satellite is up in the orbit”, said ISRO chairman K Radha krishnan after the launch.

The third navigation satellite (IRNSS-1C) was injected into the intended orbit at 1:32 am, Thursday (October 16, 2014), through Indian rocket Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C26).

The rocket carrying 1,425-kg Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System-1C (IRNSS-1C) lifted off from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota in AP.

20 minutes after the lift-off, the vehicle successfully placed the IRNSS-1C satellite on the intended orbit.
