Indian scientist wins top Britain tech fellowship

An Indian scientist, Ravinder Dahiya, based in Britain has won the prestigious award of ‘Engineering Fellowships for Growth’ by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) of Britain. The fellowships are given in the areas of advanced materials, robotic and autonomous systems, and synthetic biology. Dahiya’s fellowship is worth £1,068,000 (about – 11 crore rupees), to be spent in five years, working in the area of robotics. Dr. Dahiya is working on developing tactile synthetic skin that can be printed and used in healthcare.
