Indian Women lose to England in a must win match


In a must win clash at Dharmasala, Indian Women lose against England in the Women’s T20 world cup . England won the toss and asked India to bat first. India managed to score only 90 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. This was six runs lower than the score they had achieved in their last match against Pakistan, which the women in blue lost .The top order failed to face England’s bowling. Opener Vanitha was out for a duck while Smrithi Mandana scored 12 runs before returning to the pavilion. It was captain Mithali Raj and HarmanPreeth Kaur who kept the scoreboard moving. The English bowlers Heather Knight took 3 wickets. Chasing 91 to win, Charlotte Edwards’ team lost eight wickets but managed to reach the target in the 19th over, thereby recording their second consecutive win in the tournament. India lost their second straight match and are almost out of the tournament.
