Relations between both the countries would improve only if India stopped its support to Tibetans Dalai Lama, media in China made clear. China media is said to be applying a check to Modi’s advances, according to indications available. China media has turned out to be an opponent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as it targeted the latter. It commented that Modi after coming to power showed interest to strengthen his relations with US, Japan and European countries than with China.
On this issue the ruling China Communist party related paper Global Times published an article raking up the issue of Sino-Indian border which was pending for a long time. It said that Modi was trying to improve the image of India against China while developing the relations with anti-China nations. The comment has occupied the centre stage exactly two days before the visit of Modi to China. An indirect comment was made by China media that Modi was after political gains as per his movements. Modi did not attach importance to a tour in Arunachal Pradesh, it said. Further, the media asked India to alter its approach towards Tibetans.
