Irrigation water to 1 crore acres of land through Maha deals: KCR

kcr-Irrigation-waterAt least one crore acres will get water through the deals signed with Maharashtra, chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao said today. Speaking from atop the vehicle on way to Camp Office, he said- “the top beneficiary will be Warangal and Karimnagar districts and then Medak. Nizamabad and Adilabad will also get water” he said. Through lift irrigation, the Palamuru project will also turn the drought-hit Mahbubnagar district into an irrigated land, he added. “Everyone heckled at us during the time of Telangana agitation saying we don’t know how to get our projects built, our state will plunge into darkness etc etc.. All those comments were proved wrong today. This day will go into our history as golden-lettered day, he said.
