A police officer named G Sampath Kumar, associated with the probe on the allegations of betting and fixing in IPL, reportedly spoke with a Bookie named Kitty, and he mentioned the name of Dhoni in his statement. “Kitty spoke of his knowledge about Vikram Agarwal, Gurunath Meiyappan and players MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and a few others, and another person in Rajasthan in match-fixing,” the police officer’s report says. Officer Sampath’s report was earlier part of Mudgal committee’s records. But later the case report was said to have gone missing, and later the actual existence it self was questioned, raising several doubts about the validity of Mudgal findings.
But major national media houses are claiming that the report exists, it is true and further more, it consists even more explosive material.
Lalit Modi too has been claiming that fixing is deep rooted in Indian cricket.
