Several people have come out with different kinds of suggestions several years ago. But nothing has been done and lakhs of crores of black money has been deposited in off-shore accounts.
Unexpectedly, a common man has stirred up a nation’s vision of exposing the ‘black dogs’
Meet Anil Bokil, an Aurangabad based architect and chartered accountant. Leading a group of crusaders against black money, Bokil is a member of the ArthaKranti Sansthan, an economic advisory body constituted by a group of chartered accountants and engineers.
As per reports, Bokil and his group had been pushing for economic reforms and met Narendra Modi some months back. Given only an eight minute time slot for the meeting, Bokil so impressed the Prime Minister with his proposal that the meeting went on for nearly two hours.
According to a report by North East Today, Bokil’s proposal, known as the ArthaKranti proposal is a multi pronged economic reform plan. Among other steps, the proposal aims at complete withdrawal of the present taxation system, capping limits on cash transactions and taxes on transactions through banks. The proposals biggest card was the scrapping of high denomination currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000, which if all reports are to be believed, has been adopted by the Government.
The proposal guarantees solution to black money, price rise and inflation, corruption, fiscal deficit, unemployment, GDP and industrial growth, terrorism and good governance.
Bokil is of the opinion that scrapping of high-denomination notes will solve the problem of black money.
