The Israel has shown keen interest in strengthening its relation with the newly formed state Telangana and the bifurcated state Andhra Pradesh.
Israeli Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon was in Hyderabad on Tuesday to attend a roundtable conference organised by the Indo-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI), Centre for Human Security Studies (CHSS) and ESF Labs Ltd. He also met Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu to discuss the strategies to strengthen the relation between Israel and Andhra Pradesh.
The Israel Embassy later released a statement saying that the Ambassador and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh finally agreed to focus on water, internal security and agriculture.
Naidu has also been invited for Agritech Israel 2015, an international agricultural technology exhibition to be held in April.
The Ambassador also met Governor ESL Narasimhan to express his willingness to promote collaboration of Israel with both the Telugu states.
It was noted that Andhra Pradesh has been made a hub for Israel’s business ties with India during the regime of late Rajasekhara Reddy.
