Jagdish Reddy who is a Telangana education minister fired another gunfire on the Eamcet issue saying AP students seeking seats in Telangana colleges must write exam conducted by Telangana State government.
Mr. Reddy, who is in New Delhi to participate in the education minister’s conference, asserted that “TS government has every right to conduct Eamcet as per the AP Reorganization Act. Andhra students who want a seat in TS colleges have to write exams conducted by us”.
He said the AP government announced Eamcet notification without consulting TS government. “AP is not keen on resolving the row. The government is complicating the issue despite clear guidelines in the AP Reorganization Act,” he said.
“AP government is unnecessarily took unilateral decision and even took the case to Governor. Our priority is students and we will ensure they do not suffer,” he said.
To a question, he said Telangana Government was ready to conduct joint EAMCET exams.
