Veteran actor Om Puri is all set to make an appearance on-screen with the film ‘Jai Ho Democracy’. The actor says that this political comedy is like all other ‘masala film’ but with the fact that it is without any Khans of the B-town.
Talking about his film, the actor said, “These kind of films have small budgets, but I want to tell you all that it’s a mainstream film. It’s just that there are no Khans in this film.”
he makes it sure that his film has ‘all the masala’ elements that a mainstream film has.
The film reveals in a comic way how the media gets excited about the unworthy issues in spite of giving good messages of peace between the two neighboring countries.
He is hopeful that the film will succeed in getting positive talks, “Such a film will have an affect on only a few people. But even if it makes a 10 percent difference (in society), then one feels it is in the right track. Such films should be made for the better.”
‘Jai Ho Democracy’ is written and directed by Ranjit Kappor. The film features actors like Annu Kapoor, Seema Biswas, Adil Hussain and Satish Kaushik
