Jat stir: 210 trains cancelled

Jat agitationThe on-going Jat stir is taking a heavy toll on India’s economy as the Railways today cancelled about 210 more trains including Kalka Shatabdi, Ludhiana Shatabdi and Himalayan Queen.

A total of 1152 trains have been cancelled or short-terminated due to the on-going agitation in Haryana.

The important rail routes to the states of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Jammu and Kashmir have been affected because of the stir.

The agitating protesters also have caused large scale damages to railway property and installations as 12 railway stations were burnt, 3 engines damaged and two track machines wrecked besides uprooting of tracks at many places.
