Tamilnadu CM, AIADMK Chief Jayalalithaa’s request to stall cases investigating her assets has been declined by the Supreme Court Bench headed by Justice JS Khehar and Justice C Nagappan. Jaya wanted the issue of ownership of certain assets to be cleared before any progress in the trial be made. Tamil Nadu Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department opposed the request of the CM, in turn making the Supreme Court take the current decision.
