Jayalalithaa to approache Supreme Court

jaya-supreme-courtIt has been a high drama for the supporters of the AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa. Yesterday afternoon it was assumed that a conditional bail will be granted when special public prosecutor expressed no objection in granting conditional bail to the Ex-CM . The supporters went frenzy and started celebrating by bursting crackers and distributing sweets. All that has gone in vain now. Justice AV Chandrashekhara had dined bail to Jayalalithaa and any form. The supporters back at home are expressing anger and emotions. While in the court lawyer Ram Jethmalani and his team failed to convince the Judge for bail.

Jayalalithaa is in a special jail in Karnataka since September 27th 2014, and looks like she would have to continue.

Now that the High Court’s decision is made, Jayalalithaa’s lawyers will approach the Supreme Court to challenge High Court’s order.

As of now Jayalalithaa is sentenced for 4 years of simple imprisonment and a 100 crore penalty. While others in the case too got sentenced for 4 years of imprisonment, and 10crore penalty.
