This is Angelina Jolie’s second attempt at direction. The movie focuses on the real life story of an Olympic athlete Louis Zamperini, who was captured by Japanese army during World War II. Based on a novel and written for screen by darlings of critics and the masses equally, The Coen Brothers, the film shows much promise. Up for release later this year, Unbroken is a tale of unmatched struggle against adversity, a tale of human perseverance.
It is a point very much relevant to be reminded of, that Jolie’s previous attempt at directing a fiction film, In the Land of Blood and Honey 2011, was a big failure.
