The state government planned for a grand ‘Kakatiya Festival’ at Quilla Ramalayam in Dichpally. The decision was taken in a higher officials meeting held recently. The three-day festival will be held from January 9 to 11.
K.V. Ramanachary and Papa Rao, Principal Secretary B.P. Acharya, Director Information and Public Relations A. Subash Goud, Director of Culture Harikrishna, Additional Director, Information and Public Relations, J. Pavankumar and others attended the meeting which planned for the festival celebrations on a grand scale.
The decision has been taken to form several committees with allotted responsibilities. The temple would be decorated beautifully.
Additional Joint Collector P Sheshadri said, “Stalls and pandals would be set up highlighting the greatness of the 300-year rule of Kakatiya kingdom. Cultural programmes, including classical dances and local art forms, Kavi Sammelanams and vocal concerts, would be held. Famous personalities from all fields would be invited”.
