JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar was released from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail today after a 23-day custody. He was arrested in a sedition case last month for allegedly raising anti-India slogans at a controversial event in the memory of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
Kanhaiya’s bail bond was given a day after the High Court judge Pratibha Rani granted him the bail after asking him to furnish a surety of Rs 10,000
