Nizamabad MP K Kavitha has criticized Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu on the issue of flood assistance and said the minister appeared biased towards Andhra Pradesh. “Mr Naidu made politicking in Telangana on the issue of Liberation of the state. But he conducted an aerial survey in the rain-affected areas in Guntur district. He wants politics in Telangana but exhibits interest for assisting the neighbouring state. This is not fair. We want equal treatment with AP on the issue of assistance to flood-affected areas” she said while releasing an app for the ensuing Batukamma Festival in Hyderabad today. She said the Batukamma festivities will be held in nine countries this year from 30th of this month.
Meanwhile, Minister KT Rama Rao will be going to New Delhi tomorrow to brief Mr Venkaiah Naidu on the havoc caused by heavy rains in Hyderabad as well as all municipalities of Telangana. He would submit proposals for central assistance.
