Nalgonda District Collector T Chiranjeevulu had proposed the state government to form a ‘Nirbhaya Centre’ in the district. Responding to the request, the state government decided to establish centres in all the districts in the state.
The team shall comprise of an administrator appointed by the District Collector, a Sub-Inspector deputed by Superintendent of Police, a gynaecologist deputed by district coordinator for health services, two legal counsellors, a social counsellor, an attendant and a worker.
A three-digit toll free number will be provided soon to get into contact with the Nirbhaya team.
Victims will be admitted to ICDS women care centre, in a special ward. The legal processing would be completed within the medical centre and a financial aid would be provided to the victim to become self-employed, proposes the new initiation.
