Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao today had a telephonic talk with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the situation arising out of demonetisation of bigger notes. He shared with him of the difficult situation the state is passing through and also fall of revenue on various fronts, according to sources.
Mr Rao will be going to Delhi tomorrow to meet Prime Minister on the issue of note ban. He is expected to brief the Prime Minister on the loss of revenue in detail the state has suffered due to the move and may offer his support for taking out a bold step in reforming the financial system. The currency clean up is necessary as it would end illegal accumulation of wealth, he was reported to have felt, according to official sources. But at the same time, the move shall not end up in giving a tough time to common man. Mr Rao is expected to bring to the notice of the PM the untold misery of commoners in the state and also discuss the steps needed to enhance supply.
